They measure 8 3/4 inches long with shades out and the focus extended, and 6 1/8 closed.They are in very nice condition for their age and the optics are dirty but not chipped. These seem to be early numbers for these glasses. They have the sunshades on them and are marked US navy with a R with a circle around it with the numbers 14694. ![]() These I think are from the civil war era and used by the navy. Up on auction are a pair of civil war binoculars. ![]()
